Very humorous. I like the pumpkin pie dollop. How is it that we just can’t get our food to look like the picture?

The milk pour in the Grape Nuts is pretty revealing.

    Thank you.

  4. The Grape Nuts pour is brilliant!
This speaks to the possibility of the solace of everyday joys and in the face of everyday disappointments—the food does not look like the photos, but there is pie, there are chocolate cookies, there is a tapioca parfait!

  5. Amazing recreations. I want to come eat at your house.

  6. The pumpkin pie photo cracked me up! It looks so sad (yet so so yummy)

  7. It was rather pathetic looking. I tried to do the leaves on the crust, and crusts really aren’t my strong suit. It tasted great, though.

  8. It look like you had a lot of fun doing this project! Very fun!

  9. Looks like so much fun! I loved the Pumpkin Pie and the Grape Nuts

  10. So good to be reminded how silly is our obsession with perfection. Our faces, our bodies, our food, our lawns, all meant to be Photoshop-perfect. Time to opt out! Think I’ll go melt some whipped cream on my tunafish.

Awesome series. The pumpkin one is my favorite.

  12. Thanks–I forgot how hard it is to make pie crust.

  13. I have read of your project about an hour ago on an italian magazine (it was an article called “toast art”!) and I think that the way you create some stuff, some art, some new point of view and food for tought from everyday life is amazing!
