  2. not yet. bags keep birds away until they’re ready.

  3. And do the bags help the fruit to ripen sooner?

    • i know that bagging helps to ripen picked fruit; not sure about stuff that’s still growing. it definitely keeps critters from nibbling. a half eaten mango literally fell to the ground right in front of me when i first got there.
