I’m not sure where they rank for you because you have had so many fun ideas with great executions, but I think this one would have tickled my fancy to do very much. Love your mixed-media approach. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, Beth. This one was particularly fun because, as you said, I was able to use a variety of materials.
Love it, love the whole idea of low-commitment projects. Great job on these.
Thanks!
fahrenheit 451 made me laugh… also tortilla flat is awesome.
I was worried it looked like melted cheese (fahrenheit 451).
These are great! They remind me of school projects we used to have to do (make a new cover for a book you’ve read) but these are of course more beautiful.
Oh, I would have loved this as a school project.
Hi Brittany–These covers are wonderful. I can’t decide which is my favorite. You know, you might be able to get some work designing covers for self-publish authors. I’ve done covers for some of Charles’ books as well as my Mom’s novel. A lot of writers would need this. Lulu.com for example and Amazon self publish offer this service to writers but I’ll bet you could some how freelance it.
Nanci at Altura
Nanci–that’s a great idea.
I totally agree. You guys are really good designers. I like the Tortilla Flat one. I’m interested to know how these projects have helped you with being inspired in your other work.
