A few years ago, I started making paper cut versions of the Google image search results for the first auto-filled entry for each letter of the alphabet. For instance, when I typed “A”, the first helpful auto-filled response was “Amy Winehouse”, and “B” was “Baby”.
When I was asked to participate in an exhibition called “Guns N’ F***ing Roses” at Monty Art Space in Antwerp, Belgium in 2011, I created cut paper pieces of the top Google image search results for Guns N’ Roses. Here are the results, in the order they appeared at the time. The last two photos show how they were arranged on the wall for display.
